Brow Products by Anastasia

Anastasia's brow products are very hyped around the blog community so I was very excited to write this post after having tried a kit from the brand which contained the eyebrow powder, a highlighter stick, a double-ended brush, a clear eyebrow gel and a cooling eye brightener!

Les produits pour les surcils d'Anastasia sont très connus dans le monde des bloggeuses donc je suis très contente d'écrire ce post aujourd'hui! En effet, j'en ai testé 5 produits d'un kit dont le gel à sourcils, un double pinceau, un crayon illuminateur, un illuminateur en forme de gel et le duo des poudres à sourcils.

The brow powder duo in Medium Ash ($23):

This eyebrow powder duo is perfect! You can mix and match the colors according to your natural eyebrows! they look very natural, never too dark. I realized that everyone around me always makes comments telling me that I have perfect eyebrows and I definitely think this product has something to do with it.

The clear eyebrow gel ($22):

Amazing product as well! I have hairy eyebrows and this gel keeps them in place for more than 10hs! Nothing else to say, expensive but very good. Also the wand is the perfect size and combs your hair very easily.

The Cooling Eye Brightener: 

I really did not like this gel. It made my lids red and irritated. I thought the tingling feeling due to the added caffeine was going to pass after a while but no, it stayed for two hours and then I decided to remove it. Besides, the product itself does not add anything special to your look.

The Matte Eye Brightener ($21):

This is almost like a shadow stick. I use it all over the lid before doing my eye look and makes the colours pop as well as highlights the brow bone without being shimmery.

The double-ended brush:

Great, very small, easy to use and the angled side creates the perfect arch!

Conclusion:

They are overall great products, except the gel one. They were all worth the money and left me very happy while using them! Even though they are expensive, they are worth it. If I had to choose the best one is the duo of powders! Let me know if you have tried any of Anastasia's products!

Le duo de poudres à sourcils:

Ce duo est parfait! Vous pouvez mélanger les couleurs pour arriver à celle qui colle le mieux avec votre couleur naturelle. La couleur foncée n'est jamais trop foncée et donc donne toujours un effet naturel. Je me suis rendue compte que les gens autour de moi me disent toujours que j'ai des sourcils incroyables et je pense que ce produit aide beaucoup avec ça.

Le gel à sourcils transparent:

Un produit génial aussi! J'ai des sourcils avec pas mal de cheveux et ce gels les maintient en place pendant plus de 10hs! Pas plus à dire que c'est cher mais très bon. Aussi, la baguette a la taille parfaite pour bien coiffer les cheveux.

L'illuminateur en gel:

Je n'aime pas du tout ce gel. Il a irrité mes paupières et les a rendu rouges! Je pensais que le fait que ca piquait allait partir mais pas du tout donc après deux heures je l'ai enlevé! De plus, ce gel n'avait rien fait pour mes paupières (pas d'illumination ni déconflement comme écris sur le packaging).

Le Mat Yeux - Illuminateur:

Celui-la est comme des  crayons des fards à paupières. Je le mets sur l'enitèreté de mes paupières comme une base, qui fait resortir plus les fards à paupières et qui illumine en bas de mes sourcils! 

Le double pinceau:

Parfait, très petit, facile à utiliser et donne la courbe parfait aux sourcils!

Conclusion:

Cette marque est très très bien pour les produits des sourcils! Sauf pour le gel, tous valent la peine! C'est vrai que c'est cher mais ce sont des produits qui ne déçoivent pas. Je vous conseille surtout d'en acheter le duo des poudres ! Dites-moi si vous avez déjà essayé des produits d'Anastasia!

Clear Eyebrow Gels: Anastasia, Maybelline & Hema

If I am completely honest, I have started caring about my eyebrows very recently. I have always had thick, dark eyebrows and therefore never thought of doing anything to them (just plucking them so that they would have a nice shape). However, Lisa Eldridge, in one of her videos, made me realize I should be proud of my bushy eyebrows and should spend two minutes per day to make them look a bit better. This is when I started filling them in just a bit and finished my routine with a clear eyebrow gel...

Si je suis entièrement honnête avec vous, je n'ai commencé à perfectionner mes sourcils que récemment. J'ai toujours eu des sourcils épais et foncés et donc, je ne passais pas beaucoup de temps à les soigner (juste  les épiler pour garder une bonne forme). Cependant, Lisa Eldridge, dans une de ces vidéos, m'a aidé à me rendre compte que je devrais être fière des mes grands sourcils et que je pourrais passer deux minutes par jour à les améliorer un peu. C'est après ceci que j'ai commencé à les remplir un peu et à terminer en utilisant un gel transparent...

Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara ($5,49 at Ulta):

I had started using this as eyebrow gel when I saw that many beauty gurus had started saying it was a nice cheap alternative to expensive eyebrow gels. 

Positive: it is indeed clear, lasts a long time (I've had it for 8 months!), is quite cheap and the packaging is very pretty.

Negative: the gel is very wet, so I don't like that feeling on my eyebrows. It also takes a long time to dry. Another difficulty is that, since it is a mascara, the brush is very hard and does not feel nice when you apply it. I also had a hard time pulling my eyebrow hair in the same direction, so that they stay in place all day. 

Hema's eyebrow gel (4,50€):

I recently bought this one when I saw that the Maybelline was not working.

Positive: I love the brush, it coats my eyebrows nicely. Also, the gel is very nice as it is not wet at all. So cheap and so good I have to say.

Negative: The packaging is very plain.

Anastasia's clear eyebrow gel (full size $22 or mini with a mini eyebrow pencil and tweezers for $16):

I also started using this one when I saw that many beauty bloggers recommended this gel and since I'm interested in eyebrows I wanted to see if it was worth investing in such an expensive gel.

Positive: It is the best one for keeping my eyebrows in place, I do not know what it is about the formula but my eyebrow hair stays exactly the same way all day. I like the packaging and the brush is nice. 

Negative: You cannot tell how much you have left, and since it is clear, it is almost impossible to tell from looking at the brush. On the plus size, you will never see the gel get dirty :).

Conclusion:

I think I will always see Maybelline's as what it is, a mascara and not an eyebrow gel. However, seeing Hema's high quality product for such a cheap price, shows me that there is always a cheaper alternative out there. I still prefer out of all the Anastasia one, but I'll try to alternate and when I run out of the Hema one, I'll buy the Anastasia's one, and the Hema... That way, I'll not be spending as much money on eyebrow gels. I'll be on the look-out, since I would like to find more cheaper alternatives that compare to the Hema one! If you do not have a lot of hair, I think the Hema one will be good for you! 

Mascara de Maybelline "Great Lash" (près de 6,45€ chez Feelunique mais en stock pour le moment):

J'avais commencé à utiliser ce mascara quand j'ai vu que beaucoup de bloggers parlaient bien de ce produit., en disant qu'il est économique et très bon.

Positif: Il a un très beau emballage, il dure longtemps (je l'ai depuis 8 mois!) et est économique.

Négatif: Il est trop liquide, je n'aime pas du tout sentir que mes sourcils sont mouillés. De plus, comme ça reste un mascara, le pinceau ne donne pas une bonne sensation quand on l'appliquer (il est trop dur) et ne pousse pas vraiment les cheveux vers la même direction.

Gel transparent pour les sourcils de Hema (4,50€ sur Hema.be):

J'avais acheté celui-là récemment, quand je commençais à voir que celui de Maybelline ne donnait pas l'effet que je voulais.

Positif: Le pinceau est bon pour les sourcils, le gel tient mes cheveux en place et ne les mouille pas, il est assez léger. 

Négatif: Le packaging est trop basique.

Gel pour les surcils d'Anastasia ($22 chez Sephora.com ou un kit avec des mini gels à $16):

J'ai acheté celui-là parce qu'encore une fois, les gens parlaient très bien de ce produit et je voulais voir si le prix changeait quelque chose par rapport au produit.

Positif: C'est le gels qui tient le mieux en place mes sourcils, ils ne bougents pas pendant toute la journée. Je dirais que c'est le plus puissant. Il a aussi un bon emballage et le pinceau est comfortable.

Négatif: L'emballage ne permet pas de voir combien de produit il en reste, et comme le gel est transparent, on ne peut pas regarder le pinceau pour savoir. Le coté positif est qu'on ne doit jamais voir le gel devenir de plus en plus foncé :).

Conclusion:

Celui de Maybelline restera toujours pour moi un mascara et pas un gel pour les sourcils. Celui de Hema est un très bon produit, économique et qui fait un bon le boulot. Comme j'aime aussi celui d'Anastasia, je pense alterner et acheter un quand l'autre se termine, comme ça je ne dépense pas tellement d'argent  dans un gel pour les sourcils. Cependant, si vous n'avez pas vraiment beaucoup de cheveux, je pense que celui de Hema sera bon pour vous. J'essayerai toujours de retrouver un pour vous qui puisse se comparer à celui de Hema en ce qui concerne prix et qualité!
